BASIC EDUCATION & HIGH SCHOOL

1.  What are the Basic Education Programs offered in SMC?

For AY 2009 - 2010,

Preschool

• Kinder (3 to 4 years old)
• Junior Prep (4 to 5 years old)
• Senior Prep (5 to 6 years old)

Grade School

• Grade 1 (6 to 7 years old)
• Grade 2 (7 to 8 years old)
• Grade 3 (8 to 9 years old)
• Grade 4 (9 to 10 years old) 
• Grade 5 (10 to 11 years old)

High School

• First Year High School
• Second Year High School

2.  Are you not offering Grade 6, third and fourth year high school?

We will be offering those levels next academic year.

By 2010 - 2011, we will have complete Grade School.  By 2011 to 2012, we will be offering complete High School.

3.  How are you related to Southville International School and Colleges (SISC)?

The operation and academic programs here is supervised by Southville International School and Colleges to ensure that quality standards are practiced.

4.   If the operation standard is supervised by SISC, how come it is cheaper here?

It is the location.  The bills that are paid here in terms of taxes are comparatively lower.

5.  Do you require applicants to take Admission Tests? Do you charge for your admission tests?

There is an admission test.  The results usually help us see in what areas your child would need more focus on.  The admission test is part of the Admission Process.

6.  Does my child need to be interviewed?

Yes.  The interview will make us know your child more.

 7.  Do you accept Transferees?

Yes.  They need to submit the requirements needed.

8.  What are the requirements for registration?

The requirements needed for admission are:

• 2 pcs. 2x2 pictures
• Photocopy of Birth Certificate
• Photocopy of Report Card

For registration, we need

• Medical Certificate
• Principal's Recommendation
• Certificate of Good Moral Character
• Original copy of the Report Card

9.  Do you require students to wear uniforms?

Yes.  All the students wear uniforms.  The uniforms for pre-school to Grade 2 girls and boys are different from the uniforms of Grades 3 to 5 girls and boys.

10. Do you sell uniforms here?

Yes.

11. What are the schedule of classes?
