SMC Prom goes to the OSCARS

In uplifting its tradition of developing students with a solid social foundation and refined social attributes, South Mansfield College held its High School Night last February 24, 2014 clothed with hierarchy and revelry. With this year’s theme “SMC goes to the Oscars,” the High School department held its once a year gathering with characteristic glitz and glamour.

The gathering was held at the exclusive Palms Country Club and was attended by stunning and dashing SMC High School students. The gents sported their best three piece suit while the ladies were garbed in their exquisite gowns. The schools’ who’s who attended the celebration led by Ms. Theresita Yague, Vice President for Allied Schools, Ms. Celsa Alojado, the School Principal/School Director, and Ms. Arlene Sta. Maria. A special performance by Francesca and Francine Belen made the night extra special. The Grade 7 and 8 students enlivened the occasion with a dance number and selected Grade 8, Third Year and Fourth Year students also performed a dance which made the evening even brighter.
Sparks flew with the announcement of the various winners. Bryan Arenas and Renee Louise Bautista were announced Face of the Night, Male and Female. Joaquin Aguirre and Lyan Cabral were declared Gentleman and Lady of the Night. Lester Englis and Jhul Kathrynanne Palo were cheered as Glamour Prince and Princess while Jaime Fraginal and Kathleen Alana were hailed Glamour King and Queen. The Metamorphosis Awards were given to Rickymund Purog and Riza Bersabal.
The event was a success as the young stars of SMC enjoyed the exclusive ambiance, the delectable food and the camaraderie that will last a lifetime.
