South Mansfield College - Home of the Soaring Royals is proud of its students, teachers and staff's achievement!

With its aspiration to develop AVID (Academic Excellence, Values Excellence, Interpersonal Sensitivity, and Drive and Discipline to Achieve) among the students and graduates, SMC teachers and staff pursue post-graduate studies to master their craft and transcend their personal achievement into student success.
Most recently, our PR and Marketing Head, Mr. Charles Abedejos Jr. demonstrated his commitment towards excellence by graduating Rank 2 of his class from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa. He achieved the second highest GPA and was awarded the Gold Medal for Academic Excellence with a degree in Master of Arts in Education, Major in Educational Management.

Congratulations
Sir Charles! SMC is truly proud of your feat! Oui Je Peux! Yes, I Can!

Grade 9 Royal is Best Delegate in MUN

South Mansfield College boasts of its latest achievement in the area of Model United Nations (MUN) simulation.

Last February 20-21, 2021, our high school students joined and actively participated in the First SGEN Model United Nations (MUN) together with hundreds of students from the Southville Global Education Network (SGEN) schools namely Southville International School and Colleges (SISC), Stonyhurst Southville International School (SSIS) Batangas and Malarayat campuses, and the Asian SEED Academy of Technology (ASAT).

After the 2-day event, Marie Gabrielle Opiña (Grade 9 Integrity) was adjudged as Best Delegate for showing her eloquence in the speeches and her proficiency and wide knowledge in the parliamentary discussions. Abby is a member of the Human Rights Council representing Germany.

Model United Nations is an authentic simulation of the UN General Assembly, UN Security Council, or other multilateral body, which introduces students to the world of diplomacy, negotiation, and decision-making. Students take the shoes of the ambassadors to debate current global issues, prepare draft resolutions, plot strategy, negotiate with supporters and adversaries, resolve conflicts, and navigate the UN’s rules of procedure. On it’s 17th year, the Southville International School and Colleges Model United Nations (SISCMUN), in collaboration with Southville Global Education Network (SGEN) Allied Schools, spearheaded the first ever SGEN Model United Nations Conference.

Abby’s team was coached by Ms. Winona Morales, Sir Jelo Derilo, and Sir Kit del Mundo.

Students elect their senior leaders

South Mansfield College has continually provided dynamic and balanced learning and leadership opportunities to students over the years.

From Little City Councilors to 10 MOST, SMC is proud to have produced students who fared extraordinarily well in both leadership and community service. Developing the heart to lead and serve takes place from class activities to school events where students participate in.

Last September 17, 2020, students enjoyed their right to choose their next leaders who would spearhead activities to make their school life vibrant and meaningful. Prior to the elections, the students listened attentively to the platform  and programs that the student leaders presented during the Miting de avance.

The Student Council’s legacy includes the gang chairs in the students’ lounge and the support for victims of calamities.

The Student Council is moderated by Mr. Kit del Mundo.
