Last January 17-18, 2019, SMC students once again proved that Math excellence is within their reach. The following teams qualified for the sectoral division level of the prestigious Mathematics competition.

Grade 2—Zaren LJ Grapilon, Therese Angela Roallos
Grade 4—Marcelo Manalo III, Matthew Angelo Roallos
Grade 6—Dylan Del Rio, John Cody Palaganas
Grade 7—Lauren Ann Tan, Marie Gabrielle Opiña
Grade 9—Andrea Li Santos, Ann Margareth Tapac
Grade 10—Miguel Secuando, Heleina Jodi Hao

Jacob Corpin of Grade 1 Kindness is the only student from among all private schools in Muntinlupa who qualified for the Individual Category.

The Sectoral Division competition will be on February 7, 2019 for Grade School and February 8, 2019 for High School. The students were trained by Ms. Patricia Cortez, Mr. Michael Blando, Mr, Emelito Ercilla, Mr. Luke Alcaide, and Mr. Rafael Canlas.

MTAP is an association which promotes the math competition to contribute in improving the quality of mathematics education in the country. Likewise, it awakens greater interest in the subject among elementary and secondary students from both public and private schools all over the country thus encourages students' excellence in the subject.
