2019-2020: Arielle Alejandrino

June 2018, I can still remember that day when my parents and I decided to pursue my SeniorJune 2018, I can still remember that day when my parents and I decided to pursue my Seniorhigh school at South Mansfield College. At first, I was uncertain if it was the right choice; I wasterrified and worried if I would be able to perform well at school. The first day of school cameimmediately; I was greeted with warm smiles and welcomed wholeheartedly by the whole SMCCommunity, then the days of my stay at SMC passed by and ended.

As an alumna, I am genuinely grateful for my SMC journey not just because of the theoreticalAs an alumna, I am genuinely grateful for my SMC journey not just because of the theoreticalknowledge I have gained but for how they helped me grow as a student, as a citizen, and as anindividual. I would not deny how challenging those years with SMC were; the Speaking EnglishDrive (SED), which I was most concerned about, turned out to be a driving force in discoveringone of my current strengths – eloquence with the English language.

The path that I am currently taking was mainly influenced by the people at SMC. I would haveThe path that I am currently taking was mainly influenced by the people at SMC. I would havebeen on a different one if it weren’t because of my mentors, classmates, and especially myteachers, who have always pushed me to pursue my dreams and aspirations. It was also them who helped me pave the way for my future triumph.

A blessed day to my dear classmates, parents, teachers, admin, and to everyone who is tuning in, celebrating this momentous day with us. First of which, I would like to thank my teachers for giving me the opportunity to present a speech to all of you. I will be honest, I have already prepared a speech the moment we received our Graduation Bulletin due to the euphoric feeling I felt at the time; but, I out to save that speech for our physical graduation. So here I am, presenting another speech from scratch, with a whole different format.
