SMC Royals showcase grit in competitions

After an overwhelming academic achievement in the past terms, our High School students demonstrated grit and passion in different academic competitions.

Kudos to John Cody Palaganas (Grade 9 Integrity) for advancing to the final round of the Philippine Biology Olympiad. The PBO was organized by the Department of Biology of the Ateneo de Manila University, and the Ateneo Biological Organization – eXplore. eXperience. eXcel. It is a premier Biology convention for Grade 7-12 students in high school that aims to cultivate excellence and appreciation in the life sciences through activities that test one’s theoretical knowledge and practical skills in various areas of Biology. The PBO selects the four (4) student representatives of the country for the International Biology Olympiad (IBO), which will be held in Yerevan, Armenia next year.

The team was also composed of Amos Cruz (Grade 9 Integrity), Alyssa Jao (Grade 12 Excellence), and Whischelle Ama )(Grade 11 Responsibility).
