South Mansfield College Royals once again proved that excellence in Mathematics is within their reach.
Twelve (12) students across levels showed that they can be on a par with international standards in Mathematics as they obtained certificates and are qualified for the Global Rounds of the Singapore . Their impressive performance in the 2021 SINGA Math Competition gave them the ticket for the global rounds.
Singapore Math is renowned worldwide however to stay at the top , it needs constant energy and challenge that gave birth to SINGA Math. The global finals will be on February 27, 2022.
Royals bag Gold Award in the 2021 Muntinlupa City Virtual Robotics Fair and Exhibit
The Royals proved once again that they are competent and skilled enough to build a robot capable of addressing a problem or issue related to disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM). Amos C. Cruz (Grade 9), Marie Gabrielle C. Opiña (Grade 10) and John Patrick E. Britanico (Grade 11) were successful once again in securing the Gold Award during the Robotics Competition and Exhibit for thinking and proposing out-of-the-box solutions that would aid humans in performing tasks by developing a robot that would extend as an intelligent tool in resolving DRRM-related problems.
Royals join the African International Model United Nations Delegation
The selected South Mansfield College students from junior and senior high school divisions participated in this year’s African International Model United Nations Delegation. The event happened on November 6 and 7, 2021. Our students transcended in the AIMUN 2021 despite the different time zone. Sleepless nights and a long period of preparations for the conference have paid off.
Kaitlyn Ventenilla receives Youth Excellence in Science Award
Kaitlyn Ventenilla from grade 9 – Integrity has proven once again that she excels in the field of Science and Mathematics. The Department of Science and Technology recently gave honor and recognition to students who exemplify remarkable performance in Science and Mathematics. Kaitlyn received the YOUTH EXCELLENCE in SCIENCE AWARD last October 29, 2021 because of her achievements and for representing our country in various international competitions in Mathematics and Science. She has been bagging this prestigious award for four (4) consecutive years now.
Kaitlyn is one of the testaments that SMC is a community that develops learners to become academically competent, disciplined, and well-rounded students through values-driven, intellectually challenging and relevant AVID curriculum.
The entire SMC community is proud of her achievements.
SMC wins Gold in International Schools CyberFair
South Mansfield College develops 21st century skills among the students. One of these is information and communication skills apart from media and internet literacy.
With their proficiency in ICT, SMC students applied their creativity in coming up with a website for the Museo ng Muntinlupa for the International Schools CyberFair 2021 and won Gold in the prestigious worldwide tilt. This is the second year that SMC won Gold Award.
The Royals Technical Team was composed of Maya Gabrielle Baritugo, Sofia Leigh Sindac, Marie Gabrielle Opiña, Amos Cruz, Karylle Chane Ambing, Marnie Antoinette Par, Whischelle Ama, Alyza Sebastian, and Alyssa Gail Jao.
The team was trained by Ms. Cris Reynera under the guidance of Ms. Eunice Resurreccion—AI/ICT Head.
