SMC gears up for ISO 9001:2015 Recertification

Part of its commitment to deliver quality education, SMC is gearing up for standardization of its quality systems through the International Organization for Standardization Recertification Audit on March 18, 2019.

The adoption of a quality management system is a strategic decision of South Mansfield College that can help to improve its overall performance and provide sound basis for sustainable development initiatives. With this, we can consistently provide world-class quality education and services that meet  stakeholders’ expectations and statutory and regulatory requirements and facilitate opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction.

The International Standard employs the process approach, which incorporates the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle and risk-based thinking.  The process approach enables SMC to plan its processes and their interactions. The  PDCA cycle, on the other and, enables SMC to ensure that its processes are adequately resources and managed, and that opportunities for improvement are determined and acted on. Risk-based thinking enables us to determine the factors that could cause its processes and its quality management system to deviate from the planned results, to put in place preventive controls and to minimize the negative effects and to make maximum use of opportunities as they arise.

The following are the Quality Policy and Objectives of South Mansfield College:
