





South Mansfield College is proud to have another feather on its cap with the recent feat of our SHS Royal in the 17th Word Cup National Journalism Contest. Last February 27-28, 2021, our high school students joined and actively participated in the 17th Word Cup National Journalism sponsored by the Word Cup Associated Editors Co. and EdCalibre International. After the 2-day event, Angelica Sualog (Grade 11 Responsibility) received Honorable Mention honors for showing proficiency in Photography (Filipino Category). The contest aimed to enhance the writing and photography skills of students, recognize and award exemplary work, and get quality outputs published in national media. The other participants included Rafael Masicat (English), Mia Arellano (English), Esther Grace Pre (English), Alliya Delen (English), Jyde Matthew Gonzales (English), Reggie Mae Novelo (Filipino), Fatima Rabanera (Filipino), and Sharmaine Segovia (Filipino). The Journalism Team was coached by Bb. Vhine Celorico, Bb. Thessa Ansano, Ms. Arianne Camba, and Ms. Janis Manzano.

Natalie Kaitlyn R. Ventenilla (Grade 8 Commitment) attained Silver in the Southeast Asian Mathematical Olympiad (Paper D) 2020. Kaitlyn is recognized for her outstanding performance in the competition and for being among the top 20 of thousands of participants from the region and beyond. She is also acknowledged for her everlasting passion in Mathematics.
Kaitlyn is also welcomed to the Global Round of the competition slated on January 16, 2021.
SEAMO is a global mathematical olympiad competition that aims to increase passion and confidence in mathematics.
